My regular price for tuning is $115. Prices for
other repairs,
maintenance, and adjustments can be quoted when I see
the instrument.
How
often should I have my piano
tuned?
Generally, in home use, your piano should be tuned at
least twice per
year.

A
"sticky" key can be caused by several issues. A
broken part, a needed
simple adjustment, something fell inside the piano -
all common
occurrences. Sometimes more serious attention is
needed. I can quote
repair prices when I see the
instrument.
What
happens if a string breaks?
Strings break for various reasons. Piano
Technicians do not break
strings. Often strings break from the wear of
multiple tunings over many
years. Sometimes they break because they are
rusty from humid
conditions. Broken strings can sometimes be
repaired by splicing. A
spliced string can last many years. If a string
cannot be spliced, it
must be replaced. Prices vary but I can quote the
price when I see the
instrument.
